HERE'S A VERY COMMON STORY ON TANNING BY TEENAGERS:
You're a teenager in high school. Your friends are tanning and they are feeling good about themselves. You want to look good and feel good. You ask your parents if you can join the tanning salon so that you have a nice tan for your dance. Your parents agree to let you tan. You join for a month of unlimited tanning. When you join, you're told you MUST wear eyewear, and a salon grade tanning lotion is recommended. You think to yourself - hmmmm, If I'm spending $30 bucks to tan for a month, I'm not getting racoon eyes from eyewear, and I'm not putting the money out for lotion when I can get just as dark by tanning every day. WRONG!
If you are coming to Paradise Cove to tan, eyewear is required. It is not an option. You must take care of your eyes and tan responsibly. We offer special eyewear which will not cause racoon eyes. The negative effects caused by not wearing eyewear may not be visible for years. But by then, it will be too late to correct it. Take care of your eyes and wear eyewear at all times during tanning.
While lotions are not required, they are highly recommended. The premium products we offer will provide you with increased tanning power by as much as 50%. Our lotions re-hydrate your skin while tanning, so not only will you get better results while you tan, you will maintain your tan for a longer period of time because you won't exfoiliate (shed your skin) as rapidly as you would without using lotions.
We invite you to take our advice and let us show you how you can achieve that golden skin tone while protecting your eyes and skin.
SMART TANNING FOR TEENS:
1. Avoid Sunburn - give yourself time to tan and build your tan gradually.
2. Protect Your Eyes.
3. Be Seroius about your Medications. Some make your skin more susceptible to sunburn. Talk to our staff if you take meds.
4. Use Sunscreen outdoors. You can still develop a tan outdoors while wearing sunscreen.
